us on a thursday

on thursday, june 4th, talan and i headed to northridge church for our end of the year mops picnic. talan was able to play on the playground and in a bounce house, although he really only did for a minute or two. it was pretty crowded and always had a long line so we tried to stick to the playground and running up and down the hill hundreds of times.
talan allowed us to take a break for a few minutes to sit and eat some hot dogs, chips and fruit and then he was back to running around again. he did take a small break in order to eat some popcorn and a snow cone, of course. but shhhh, don't tell hayden, i kind of kept that part from him.
dad picked up hayden at our house and brought him back to their place since jessica, jenn and rainah were visiting. so when the picnic was over talan and i then headed over to their house as well.
when we got there we all decided to head over to a park in northville and then we took a walk downtown before heading back. talan then was able to see papa's motorcycle and was so happy to be able to sit on it! he is in LOVE with motorcycles these days.
the kids somehow weren't tired so they decided to run around some more in the backyard. after a little while the neighbor brought out their brand new puppy and we all got to play with him.
eventually we headed inside to play for a bit and then dave came over so we could all eat dinner together.
i thought we were only going to be outside for a little bit that morning for the picnic and didn't put sunscreen on talan, so he was a little red that evening. but the next morning the red was gone and now he's a TINY bit less pasty white then he had been.
it was a busy but fun day and both of the boys were so happy to spend almost an entire day outside! especially talan!
